roller blind (plural roller blinds)

  1. A blind for a window, usually of stiffened fabric or vinyl, mounted on a pole and operated with a chain or spring mechanism.
    Synonym: roller shade
  2. (transport) A destination indicator blind on buses and trains having two rollers, top and bottom. It can be rolled to display various destinations and route numbers through a small window.
