Etymology

Named from the acronym for the Royal Ontario Museum where the mineral was first studied.

  1. (mineralogy) A tetragonal-ditetragonal dipyramidal black mineral containing oxygen and tin.

Usage notes

Although this mineral is anthropogenic, it was accepted before the current IMA guidelines came into force excluding such species.
