  1. A berry which is the fruit of a small shrub native to northeastern North America, Gaultheria procumbens, also known as the eastern teaberry, American wintergreen, boxberry, and checkerberry.
  2. A pinkish-white edible berry which grows in the Falkland Islands and on the South American mainland, the leaves of which are brewed like tea, Myrteola nummularia.
