    1. in an ecclesiastical context
      The visitorship in this nunnery is traditionally held by a Jesuit.
    2. in an academical institution
      Visitorships in reputed universities can significantly advance careers.
  2. attendance, number of visitors attending an event, etc.
    The visitorship should not be a major measure of success for a cultural activity which requires a well-prepared audience.
