Etymology
From Old Spanish sarza, itself from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "qfa-sub-ibe" is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF., possibly Basque [Term?]. Alternatively, from Arabic شِرْس (širs, “shrub with thorns”), from the root ش ر س (š-r-s) related to “harshness”, “wildness”, “ill-nature”.[1]
