цо́кать (cókatʹimpf (perfective цо́кнуть)

  1. to click, to clatter, to clank
  2. to utter the sound [t͡s], to click with the tongue to make a similar sound
  3. (linguistics) to pronounce the sound [t͡ɕ] as [t͡s] in some dialects (of any language), e.g. pronounce the Russian letter ч (č) the same way as ц (c).
