Usage notes
[edit]- The first edition of Hanyu Da Zidian gives the Mandarin pinyin as dìn, in accordance with the fanqie 當禁切 given in 《改併四聲篇海·身部》, which quotes from 《俗字背篇》. The second edition replaces it with zhèn instead, in accordance with 《海篇直音·身部》, which states that the sound is the same as 振 (zhèn).
