    Я никого́ не зна́ю ― Ja nikovó ne znáju ― I don’t know anybody.
    Никто́ не зна́ет ― Niktó ne znájet ― Nobody knows.
    but: Ни он, ни кто друго́й не зна́ет ― Ni on, ni kto drugój ne znájet ― Neither he nor anyone else knows.

Usage notes[edit]

  • Prepositions are always interposed, dividing the word in two:
    Я ни у кого́ не́ был. ― Ja ni u kovó né byl. ― I haven’t visited anybody.
    Он ни с кем не говори́т. ― On ni s kem ne govorít. ― He’s not speaking to anybody.
