A fee that is nominal#English-trifling. Nominal in this sense occurs with amount(s), charge(s), value (sometimes in this sense), charge, sum, etc. DCDuring TALK 13:00, 23 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Delete per nom. Completely transparent, completely substitutable (nominal charge, nominal assessment, nominal cost). bd2412 T 17:14, 24 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Keep, mainly for the translations: German "Schutzgebühr" (protection fee) and Norwegian "symbolsk sum" (symbolic sum); for French, Google translate gives me "frais nominaux", which, given its low number of search hits, does not seem to be correct. Furthermore, as "nominal" in finance also means "not adjusted for inflation", having this disambiguated seems useful. Moreover, the definition "A fee that does not reflect the true value of the subject it is attached to" does not really suggest "a trifling fee"; is the definition correct? --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:26, 24 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Per above. This is equally SOP in Finnish as "nominal fee" is in English. If "nominal fee" fails, this should go as well. --Hekaheka (talk) 06:00, 24 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

This does not seems to be attested: google books:"nimellinen korvaus". Is it attested in an inflected form? Is there another way in which to say "nominal fee" in Finnish? --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:31, 24 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
If 22 BGC hits counts as attested, it is attested in partitive singular (nimellistä korvausta). Other ways to express more or less the same idea can be made up of any combination of vaatimaton, muodollinen, vähäinen, mitätön, minimaalinen, olematon on one hand and palkkio, korvaus, maksu on the other. --Hekaheka (talk) 19:34, 24 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
