  1. (intransitive) to arrive or get in somewhere (lative suffixes) by a certain time
    Synonym: beérkezik
    Ha 8-kor indulok, 8:30-ra beérek az irodába / a munkahelyemre.If I leave at 8, I arrive at the office / my workplace by 8:30.
  2. (transitive) to catch up with (to reach something that has/had been ahead)
    Synonym: utolér
  3. (with definite conjugation, as beéri, and -val/-vel) to make do with something, settle for something
    Alig eszik valamit: egy szelet kenyérrel is beéri.S/he barely eats anything; s/he makes do with a slice of bread.
