Depending on the context, it can be written as one or two words:[1]
- minthogy: It is used as a conjunction of cause:
- Minthogy befejeztem a munkát, haza tudok menni. ― Since I finished the work, I can go home.
- mint hogy: It is used as a conjunction of purpose and the verb in the clause is in imperative mood:
- Nem kérek mást, mint hogy hívj fel. ― I ask you nothing but that you give me a call.
