Etymology[edit]

A breakfast in Scotland consisting of tattie scones, bacon, and mushrooms.

Borrowed from Scots tattie scone, from tattie (“potato”)[1] + scone (“large circular cake baked on a griddle; a slice of such a cake”).[2]
