Etymology

Inherited from Koine Greek συνερίζομαι (sunerízomai),[2] middle voice[3] of συνερίζω (sunerízō, contend together), from ancient συν- (syn-) + ἐρίζω (erízō, quarrel; rival, challenge) for which, see ἔρις f (éris, quarrel).

  1. to be insulted, irritated, concerned, to take to heart
    Μην τον συνερίζεσαι και μη θυμώνεις όταν σε μαλώνει.
    Min ton synerízesai kai mi thymóneis ótan se malónei.
