Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek φωνῆεν (phōnêen) the noun formed from φωνήεις (phōnḗeis, gifted with speech), from φωνή (phōnḗ, voice) + suffix -ήεις (-ḗeis).[1]
