Etymology[edit]

The root is լոյց- (loycʿ-), from Proto-Indo-European *lewk-s-, from *lewk-, +‎ -ան- (-an-). Related to լոյս (loys).

Verb[edit]

լուցանեմ (lucʿanem)  (aorist indicative լուցի)

  1. (transitive) to light, to kindle
  2. (transitive) to inflame, to burn
