Compare Parthian 𐫅𐫏𐫖 (dym /⁠dēm⁠/), Avestan 𐬛𐬀𐬉𐬨𐬀𐬥 (daēman, eye; sight, vision), and Old Armenian դէմ (dēm), an Iranian borrowing.
