Borrowed from Old Marathi 𑘡𑘎𑘰 (nakā), 𑘡𑘎𑘻 (nako), 𑘡𑘻𑘎𑘻 (noko)[1] (compare modern Marathi नको (nako, do not)), possibly from Sanskrit खलु (na khalu).[1]
