Etymology[edit]
Borrowed from Classical Persian تسبیح (tasbīh), from Arabic تَسْبِيح (tasbīḥ). Doublet of সুবহান (śubohan) and সুবহানাল্লাহ (śub'hanallah). Cognate with Hindustani تسبیح / तसबीह (tasbīh), Turkish tespih.
