1. grape
   • ਗਿੱਦੜ ਦਾਖ ਨਾ ਅੱਪੜੇ, ਥੂਹ ਕੌੜੀ।

     giddaṛ dākh nā appaṛe, thūh kauṛī.

     The jackal could not reach the grapes and said they were sour.

     A proverb used of those who, being unsuccessful in obtaining something, disparage or condemn the thing itself.
