From ჯელა- (cela-) +‎ ბ- (b-) +‎ -აშე (-aşe). Inherited from Proto-Kartvelian *b- (to tie, bind).

  1. sheath tied around the waist, into which pistols, knives, etc. are placed, cover, case, holster
    ოტოჩაშე ჯელაბაშეთე სტერესარერი გოიღინენ.
    oťoçaşe celabaşete sťeresareri goiğinen.
    The weapon is easier (more organized) to carry with a holster.
