Usage notes
—ᆸ니까 (-mnikka) is used after verbs and adjectives with no finals or ㄹ, which falls out. For example:
- 가— (ga-) + —ᆸ니까 (-mnikka) = 갑니까 (gamnikka, “Will you go?”)
- 알— (al-) + —ᆸ니까 (-mnikka) = 압니까 (amnikka, “Do you know?”)
—습니까 (-seumnikka) is used otherwise, that is, after verbs and adjectives with finals that are not ㄹ (l). For example:
