  1. A blackish-brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to strengthen the tendons and bones, to remove damp and obstruction from the collaterals, to promote blood circulation and relieve pain in the treatment of numbness and contracture of the limbs, joint pain and weakness of the loins and legs".
