Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Japanese. Appears to be the root of 緩い (yurui, loose, adjective), 緩やか (yuruyaka, loose, slack; languid; lax, adjective), ゆるゆる (yuruyuru, loose, baggy; slowly; softly, softeningly, adjective, adverb).
