  1. (verb-forming suffix) Forms an intransitive verb similarly to the suffix -ül. Nouns and adjectives ending in ó/ő, ú/ű use it frequently.
    minő (what?) + ‎-sül → ‎minősül (to be qualified as)

Usage notes[edit]

  • (verb-forming suffix) Variants:
    -sul is added to back-vowel words
    -sül is added to front-vowel words
