Volga German (countable and uncountable, plural Volga Germans)

  1. (countable) A member of the German community which settled along the Volga in southern Russia in the 18th century, and can now be found in Siberia, Germany, and elsewhere due to deportations and migrations.
  2. (uncountable) The language spoken by these people, the core of which is Rhine Franconian.
