This is a list of the most common given names in Latvia during the time periods 1601-1862 / 1863-1919 / 1920-1944 / 1945-1970 / year 1973/ year 1975/ 1980s / year 1998. Consecutive time periods are merged, so "1601-1998" means that the name was among the most popular names during all the periods listed here. Names in bold were among the top 15 names of Latvian speakers alive in Latvia in 2010. The data does not include transliterated names of Russian speaking Latvians.
