This category contains Dutch postpositional adverbs, which are adverbs that take on the role of a preposition but are placed after the word. Usually, they are identical to the corresponding preposition in form, and have a related meaning. Generally speaking, postpositional adverbs imply motion towards somewhere, and thus function similarly to the accusative case of many prepositions in German, Icelandic or the Slavic languages.
