Etymology

[edit]

The demotic name (tên Nôm) for the village. Named after an eponymous steet, due to the concentration of stores selling wood stoves and coal-fire stoves along the street in pre-colonial times. Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese 火爐 (SV: hoả lô).
