Ògbòó

  1. a female river deity association with fertility, worshipped by several southern Èkìtì speaking towns, including Èró, Ìjàrẹ́, Àkúrẹ́, Ọ̀bà-Ilé, Ìbulẹ̀-Ṣọ́rọ̀, and Ijù. Ògbòó in southern Èkìtì traditions is often regarded as the youngest and favorite wife of the supreme sky deity, Àbarị̀ṣà, and thus a sister wife of Ọ̀ṣun, Atan, and Olókun.
