Pareto efficient ‎(comparative more Pareto efficient, superlative most Pareto efficient)

  1. (game theory, economics) Describing a situation in which the profit of one party cannot be increased without reducing the profit of another.

Usage notes[edit]

This term can also be used to compare situations such that the situation in which fewer such improvements can be made is considered more Pareto efficient.
