English[edit]
Adjective[edit]
Pareto efficient (comparative more Pareto efficient, superlative most Pareto efficient)
- (game theory, economics) Describing a situation in which the profit of one party cannot be increased without reducing the profit of another.
Usage notes[edit]
This term can also be used to compare situations such that the situation in which fewer such improvements can be made is considered more Pareto efficient.
