@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha, Per utramque cavernam, Guldrelokk A bunch of questions about this term:

  1. Formerly it had "language (attrib.), linguistic" as a definition. However, most dictionaries don't list this sense at all; Efremova is the only dictionary that lists it and she says it's dated.
  2. Ruwikt has "quarrelsome, argumentative" as a dated definition but I can't find this anywhere.
  3. It also appears to have the meaning "pagan", but I can't find that in any dictionary. What's going on here? Cf. this quote:

Another example where it appears to mean "pagan" (and Google Translate translates it as such):

@Benwing2: About 3), it's certainly possible; see язы́ческий (jazýčeskij) and Wiktionary:Etymology scriptorium/2018/April § языческий. --Per utramque cavernam 17:41, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
::@Benwing2:: I'm having trouble finding good sources for some rare senses (3-5). Maybe we should RFV those? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:14, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sure. As mentioned above, Efremova is a good source for definition 3. Benwing2 (talk) 23:17, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Senses 4 ("argumenative") and 5 ("pagan"). Benwing2 (talk) 00:01, 4 June 2018 (UTC) BTW a couple of examples that appear to mean "pagan" (and this is how Google Translate renders it):Reply
