To add to entry: the fact that this is probably a term of fairly recent vintage, perhaps inspired by the name of the party called 國民黨 (Guomindang), and refers, in tongue-in-cheek manner, to the concept of a (political) party or at least a club; it's not just referring to a person, or 人 would have been used in place of 黨. 173.88.246.138 13:36, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
