Neither of the definitions seems to fit with the word 乳房. Is there an additional meaning? 05:19, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

The gloss "house-like structure" should encompass this word's meaning. Justinrleung (talk) 23:15, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

Quotation from Manshu[edit]

@Wyang, Tooironic, could you take a look at the quotation that @Pratyeka added? I'm having trouble with finding the right translation for 頂 (not "carry", but some sort of headwear), 青婆羅 (definitely not women young and old, but some sort of fabric made by the Blang people of Yunnan) and 房 (not quite sure what that means). — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 17:15, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

Hmm. Are there any other dictionaries that list this definition of 房, or sources that support the interpretation of 房 here as "bunch of fabric"? Wyang (talk) 22:01, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
@Wyang: Even Hanyu Da Zidian doesn't have this definition. I'm not sure if Manshu has any commentaries, but there seems to have been other translations before the Wikisource one. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 22:22, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
@Wyang: This translation renders 房 as fans. I'm not sure what the rationale is behind this interpretation, though. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 22:28, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
Wow.. very strange. I wonder if the passage is different in different versions. Wyang (talk) 22:32, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
@Wyang: Maybe it's a typo of 扇? — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 22:36, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
I think the mystery has been solved – link. :) Wyang (talk) 22:43, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
Thanks guys, I will update the Wikisource translation with this finding! Pratyeka (talk) 02:15, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
