月牙形

It seems like no more than 月牙 "crescent" + 形 "shape" to me.

Under this logic, we should delete most of the shape names in Chinese. For example, 三角形 is just 三角 triangle + shape 形; 卵形 is egg-shape, etc. 月牙 is a shape taught to children in China.
