@Justinrleung, I don't think the RFVed sense is in anyway differentiated from the one immediately preceding it. Possibly it could refer to the usage such as in 特立獨行, or as in this quotation from the Shiji: 今將軍內不能直諫,外為亡國將,孤獨立而欲常存,豈不哀哉!-- alone; all by oneself; pos: adverb. But this doesn't cover "single-handed" (or "single-handedly"), for which I haven't thought of an example. --Frigoris (talk) 19:11, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
