"A giant who, according to the Bible, was vanquished in battle with King David." Is anyone else absolutely in effing love with the fact that the syntax casts doubt on whether David killed Goliath, but not whether he was a giant? Also David was far from being king at the time. I don't see the syntactic ambiguity... also, that David is traditionally distinguished from other notable Davids by calling him King David; in that way, his title is a kind of gnomic identifier that has nothing to do with his royal status at the time of the battle. —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 05:18, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
