"Used to euphemize what is said, sometimes to the extent that only the initiated will understand what is implied." I'm guessing the intended use might be something like "they were up in the bedroom having a bit of bada-bing-bada-boom"...? Anyone familiar with this sense? Equinox 01:14, 19 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

cited. I take it, @Equinox, you don't watch many gangster movies. The use as a euphemistic phrase to refer to some unmentionable activity was popularized in The Godfather, and crops up in a lot of such movies. I also found evidence for the sexual innuendo you guessed. Kiwima (talk) 01:54, 19 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
I don't like modern action films but I actually speed-read the scripts to all the Godfathers recently because I felt I was missing an important slice of pop culture. I feel that some of your citations might be subsumable under sense 1 but am not certain. Anyway thanks for digging. Equinox 03:46, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
