In the adjectival sense of "bloodthirsty". We have one citation for this. Also, I am having a bit of a hard time finding other dictionaries backing up this usage, but perhaps I simply haven't looked hard enough. Tharthan (talk) 16:56, 2 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

I suspect this is an attributive noun, not a true adjective. I have found bearbaiting (or bear-baiting or bear baiting) used to represent a bloodthirsty spectacle (rather than actual bear baiting) and could probably cite that. Kiwima (talk) 01:57, 3 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
