"Someone who values the brain and its power. An individual who tries to stay mentally fit and sharp." It does mean something (perhaps in philosophy, perhaps opposed to the mindists) but I don't think it means this. Equinox 22:45, 13 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I'm not sure how important the distinction is, but the 1999 cite ("That makes God brainist!") seems to mean "prejudiced on the basis of brain power", like "sexist" etc. Equinox 15:39, 14 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
