Rfv-sense: A room where one can crash after a bad acid trip. Really? --Robbie SWE (talk) 18:51, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, really. I remember them. cited Kiwima (talk) 21:06, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't realize there were such institutionalized places. I thought that was just a specialized use of crash pad sense 1. DCDuring (talk) 01:37, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not exactly institutionalized - it was more informal than that, more a local volunteer operation. Kiwima (talk) 19:41, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently institutionalize(d) does not necessarily mean "organize(d) formally". Oxford has "Established in practice or custom." as def 1. Some dictionaries stress "formal" more than others, some with an "especially". DCDuring (talk) 17:23, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
