Rfv-sense: A blow with the edge of a sword. Notusbutthem (talk) 13:44, 11 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I put in a couple of cites. This term has the problem of being quite rare with cites being spread thin across too many spellings. For a start, it's the same word as stramazoun. The OED also has this word under two headwords, estramazone and stramazon. This, that and the other (talk) 06:05, 12 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I am inclined to call this cited. Although only two of the citations use neither italics nor scare quotes, I don't think this is really true code-switching, since the French for this seems to be "coup d'estramaçon", and not just "estramaçon" by itself. In addition, I think stramazoun and stramazon are alternative forms, not synonyms. Kiwima (talk) 01:32, 23 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
