Hello, in spanish

[edit]

Just found in "History" that definition (edited by an IP in november 2010, & forthwith reverted...), which IMHO deserves to be kept, since it evidently comes from an expert : " Flaneur es un término francés que refiere a un hombre que vaga sin rumbo ni apuro por la ciudad, dejándose llevar, sorprendiéndose en cada esquina" ("... a man strolling leisurely & aimlessly through te city, allowing himself to be carried around & amazed at every street corner"). Sí cómo no, pero en francés se deletrea la palabra con tilde: flâneur. Esa definición ya hay escrito. —Stephen (Talk) 09:21, 3 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Verb form?

[edit]

Is there a verb, as it were, to flaneur? If I want to go somewhere, in the manner of a flaneur, I feel the lack of a word to say so concisely.

lounge, saunter, meander, mooch, stroll? Equinox 11:16, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
There is a French verb, flâner, but no corresponding verb in English. —Stephen (Talk) 10:44, 11 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
