Blotto created this with the etymologically sound but actually nonsensical definition "excessive ranging". If you look up this word it's actually a specific thing in neuroimaging/radiography, I think some kind of problem where the measurement is not taken properly, along with overscanning and overbeaming. I wish I could fix it but I don't know enough about this topic. However I think this current definition is a lazy lie. Equinox 10:57, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

There actually is some evidence for Blotto's definition, but it is clearly just the present participle of the verb overrange. I did add the radiography meaning as a separate meaning. Kiwima (talk) 02:18, 6 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
