I think this is a misspelling of polyunsaturated. The current definition doesn't seem to make much sense to me (but I'm only an ex-organic chemist). SemperBlotto (talk) 19:05, 18 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. But is it a common enough misspelling to keep? There's also at least one more sense that seems to be attested, something mathematical (@Kiwima?). —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 19:21, 18 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Now that is a difficult mathematical property to put into words! I took a shot at it, but if someone could make it more succinct, that would be good. Kiwima (talk) 21:55, 18 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
And yes, it does seem like a common enough misspelling to keep. I am finding a LOT of instances. Kiwima (talk) 22:04, 18 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Our definition of polyunsaturated seems too chemical to me to reflect common usage. Compare our def with "Polyunsaturated fat or oil has a chemical structure that does not easily change into cholesterol (= a substance containing a lot of fat that can cause heart disease) because it contains several double bonds". The health/diet related definition (excluding the clause beginning with "because") probably is all most normal people (sorry, SB) know. That simple understanding might account for the commonness of the misspelling. DCDuring (talk) 00:21, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
For fun, I took a run at a simplistic, popular definition of polyunsaturated. It may not be simplistic enough. DCDuring (talk) 12:10, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
