differences between project, thesis and dissertation ?

In this context, project is the subject of research discussed in a thesis; thesis is an acadmic essay submitted for obtaining some degree (e.g., Ph.D., master, bachelor), and a dissertation is a thesis. Usually the word dissertation is preferred if the work contains original research and is perhaps rather long or formal (especially Ph.D. theses are usually referred to as dissertations).
