Rfv-sense "(obsolete) Masturbation". There have been two attempts to remove it out of process already. — surjection??21:26, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vriullop Does this sense appear outside fer-se la punyeta and anar a fer punyetes? That's all I see on Google Books. Ultimateria (talk) 18:49, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ultimateria I have never heard or read it with the sense of masturbation. Idioms fer-se la punyeta and anar a fer punyetes are not said with this explicit sense. I think they can be translated as "to pester" and "to go to hell". I use all the examples in GDLC, including the interjection, but with the sense of annoyance or displeasure. The masturbation sense is often explained as the etymological origin. Only the GDLC includes this sense but marked with ant that means old, often referring to Old Catalan. I think it can hardly be attested. On the contrary, the Valencian related a fer la mà can have both senses, as masturbation or as a fer punyetes. --Vriullop (talk) 21:14, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
