Perhaps this is related to ditsoon which I created after hearing in on the latest series of Fargo and seeing it mentioned as appearing in The Sopranos on Urban Dictionary. I read somewhere online that the etymology was the Italian tizzone and added that too but didn’t get around to providing sources to prove all that. ‘Tootsoon’ also seems similar to tizzone, so if it exists it’s probably an variant Italian-American term of abuse. Supposedly means "burnt chestnut" in Italian (?). I've added a 1993 citation in the context of a Mafia member talking about black people, but it's italicised. I saw one other on Google Books but the snippet looked incoherent. Equinox 15:56, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, but let's not delete it tootsoon. Mihia (talk) 10:33, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
(Before I looked at the entry, my guess was that it might be a weird way of saying "tout de suite", i.e. very soon!) Equinox 13:28, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There's https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=tutsoon and https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=tootsoonie for what it's worth. --Fytcha (talk) 16:47, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
