I just noticed that 166.70.28.1 changed the Hebrew for "Turkey" from "תורכיה" to "טורקייה". But the word we had 9,470 hits on Google whereas the new word has only 63 hits. Can somebody investigate this please? Hippietrail 11:56, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)

True, but it's moot because this is now the page for "turkey" with a small t. Eric Kvaalen (talk) 11:37, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

Turkey merchants[edit]

See these 1744 Parliamentary proceedings for use of the term. Note especially "our Turkey merchants" and "French Turkey merchants". DCDuring TALK 03:44, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

People[edit]

Since when has this word been applied to people (stupid or whatever)? Eric Kvaalen (talk) 11:37, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
