Welcome
[edit]Hello, welcome to Wiktionary, and thank you for your contributions so far.
If you are unfamiliar with wiki-editing, take a look at Help:How to edit a page. It is a concise list of technical guidelines to the wiki format we use here: how to, for example, make text boldfaced or create hyperlinks. Feel free to practice in the sandbox. If you would like a slower introduction we have a short tutorial.
These links may help you familiarize yourself with Wiktionary:
- Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
- Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
- Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
- If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
- If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (
~~~~
) which automatically produces your username and timestamp. - You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage to indicate your self-assessed knowledge of languages.
Enjoy your stay at Wiktionary!
blanking pages
[edit]I notice you deleted all the content of Category:Turkish words suffixed with -lük. Please don't do this; it's not helpful. Empty categories that use {{auto cat}}
will eventually get deleted automatically; by blanking the page you've ensured this won't happen. Benwing2 (talk) 03:51, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
Language codes
[edit]Don't forget to change language codes when copy-pasting etymologies, like here. Vininn126 (talk) 19:10, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
Proto-Türkçe
[edit]Proto-Türkçe entry'leri oluşturulurken "descendants"kısmını doldurunuz lütfen. Etimolojisini, referans kaynaklarını vs. yazmak zorunda değilsiniz ama oluşturduğunuz entry'lerdeki o sözcüklerden evrilmiş illaki sözcükler vardır Türk dillerinde. Reconstruction:Proto-Turkic/ben sayfasında çoğu descendants mevcut. Ordan kopyalayıp kullanabilirsiniz. Ve ayrıca, yeniden yapılandırılmış yani Proto-Dil sayfaları oluştururken
şablonunu kullanmayı unutmayın. İyi günler. Ardahan Karabağ (talk) 10:10, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
merhaba, sayfaları oluşturup yeni oluşturduğum sayfaları watchlist'e ekledikten sonra toplu bir şekilde "descendants" sekmesini dolduracaktım. Yine de hatırlattığınız için teşekkürler Sedataltundal (talk) 18:35, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- Kusura bakmayın hemen olaya atladığım için, tahmin etmemiştim. Peki bu dediğiniz nasıl oluyor, watchlist gibi? 1.5 senedir Wiktionary'deyim ama %50'sini ya biliyorum ya bilmiyorum.Ardahan Karabağ (talk) 19:10, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
Kusurluk bir durum yok siz doğru bir şey yaptınız. Yanlış bilmiyorsam watchlist'e oluşturduğunuz sayfalar otomatik ekleniyor ama sizde bu görünmüyorsa ayarlara göz atabilirsiniz profil sekmesinin altında bulunması lâzım. Sedataltundal (talk) 20:08, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- Bende görünüyormuş şimdi baktım ve sağ olun. Ardahan Karabağ (talk) 21:18, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
Etymology templates
[edit]This is an incorrect use of {{inh}}
. That template is used for cases without morphological additions, therefore only a bare root can be inherited from another bare root, and so almost all cases of roots use {{der}}
. — 2600:4808:9C31:4800:BC45:F320:4550:C760 02:24, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Don't be a nitpicker, IP. What he did is a shorthand for "Inherited from some formation derived from root X". Vahag (talk) 12:56, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
