Virginia reel (plural Virginia reels)

  1. An English country dance dating from the 17th century, popular in America between 1830 and 1890.
  2. (card games) A solitaire card game using two mixed decks of playing cards, and in which the foundations are built up by suit in intervals of three.
  3. A kind of rollercoaster characterized by spinning circular "tubs" that zigzag down a flat-bottomed track.
